In this game you play as Gerald. Gerald is a household robot who needs to be trained before he can be sold. Gerald is the most advanced household robot to date with an almost human like AI.

You will have to complete a series of puzzles in which you learn new mechanics. These mechanics will make Gerald smarter. You will figure out how to control yourself as you play.

This game was made as a school project for Frisse Blikken Gamestudio. We are students at Avans University of Applied Sciences.

The game is playable in the browser (WebGL). If you want a smoother experience, you can also download the game for Windows, Mac or Linux (recommended).

Pretty cool. The concept is a bit simple of course, but it looks good, plays nicely and I feel the physics are quite ok as well. Also love that you can clearly hear you are Dutch in your English :-P

One suggestion, I'm currently stuck in the three boxes level because I bumped a box in the corner. Maybe implement a reset or pick up possibility?

Thanks for the review! We only have a couple of weeks to make it, so the game is not too complex.

You can restart the level from the pause menu “E” or pick up the cube with the mouse.

We will probably update the game where it becomes easier to figure out some of the controls

Oh, duh, I saw the Pause menu before, but only looked at the activity list.

However, the pickup only works with the silver and gold box. I tried the bronze box first and there the pickup does not work, even after learning it when picking up one of the other two boxes.

Edit: Oh, I know just heard that guy wonder if I'm strong enough. Is the bronze box too heavy or something? I realize it's not top priority, but I would impede movement then, instead of not responding to the mouse click for pickup.

Now stuck in the level afterwards ... put all the boxes on their corresponding numbers, no clue what to do with the golden box now. How picky is the grid with the number? Should they be positioned precisely? And should the orientation of the digits be correct?

I'm not really good at solving puzzles I guess ;-)

When you place all blocks correctly it reveals a letter. Try that at the door

Ok, kudos for the continue option, but I didn't really feel like placing all the blocks again, so I just spammed it by pressing all letters ;-) Thanks for the hint

Now battling with the jumping level, my jumping skills are not that awesome apparently. But, it's also quite finicky.

And, again, I don't understand. I've put a pot on each of the floating blocks 'outside' but nothing happened. I tried to put them upright, but that did not work. Gonna experiment some more.

Oh, outside is further away still, damn it. Didn't expect I could use 'interact' to open the door across the islands.

Ok, I've had enough for today, I would seriously consider adding checkpoints when you can die. It's really annoying to have to do the whole level over and over again.

Game has gotten an update to make it easier to learn and understand
